Our Background

Great Lakes Academy Of Music have provided quality music education to students in Forster Tuncurry since 2015. From humble beginnings at the piano in the lounge room, to a fully equipped teaching studio and programs offered in local schools. Our passionate teachers pride themselves on providing young students with a solid foundation of musical knowledge. Our Principal, Katherine Todd (BMedSci/BCom, CPA, DMus) and her team incorporate technology, games, classical and contemporary repertoire into all lessons. This allows students to explore their interests and new musical opportunities while reinforcing concepts in a fun and relatable way.

Our students have ongoing success at local Eisteddfods and through AMEB and ANZCA exam studies. Just as importantly, many of our students have continued learning into their teenage years for enjoyment and relaxation. We're passionate about helping your child enjoy music so we tailor their lessons to suit their needs.
